Feeding notes for Great Danes
Danes have the highest bloat (GDV) risk of any breed, and feeding management is part of prevention: two or three smaller meals instead of one, no strenuous exercise an hour either side of meals, and talk to your vet about preventive gastropexy. Puppies must eat a giant-breed formula with controlled calcium and grow slowly. A Dane isn't skeletally mature until 18–24 months.
